18th September 2006 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: 20-30 knots Surf / Sea State: 2 foot surf Air Temperature: 17ºC Sea Temperature: 16ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Started off with my 5.7m and Naish Hybrid Freewave which was fine for a while. Then, just as Chris arrived on the beach the wind picked up so I changed down to my 5m. Once back on the water the wind was 25-30 knots but there were a few holes in it, but I was nicely powered up and going well. Southerlies are always a little difficult as you are heading stright out to sea and with the waves so closely spaced there just insn't any room in between them to recover from jumps etc. Still, made a few nice jumps and had the odd attempt and some frontside wave-riding, but didn't really go for much. Should have tried some forwards really but just couldn't force myself. |
